Many of us are looking for ways to accelerate our impact – whether that means finding more inspiration, creating more relevance, or having greater impact.

In today’s episode I share some unconventional tools for professional women that have given me additional insight into who I am, what I have to offer, how I show up in the world, and how to reach my next level of impact.

Human Design, Enneagrams, and Birth Charts have been especially insightful in my career journey!

I have uncovered interesting insight into my life’s work with the five types of Human Design and the nine types of Enneagram, and then layered in the solar landscape of Birth Charts.

These energy-based tools have given me additional awareness into who I am, what I have to offer, how I show up in the world, and how to reach my next level of impact.

Going Beyond the Norm

Like most of us, I have experience with traditional career tools, such as the Myers–Briggs Type Indicator, Careers360, and even StrengthsFinder – and I very much enjoyed the new levels of insight, not only into how I work, but the type of work that inspires me as well.

As I’ve evolved in my career, I’ve searched for new tools and new ways to increase my awareness on who I am, what makes me tick, what I want to align with, and how to discover and use my natural talents.

In 2016, I expanded my journey to incorporate more energy, alignment, and mindfulness tools that have been traditionally used in health and wellness.

As I was at a point in my career, where I was thinking:

• Why am I not more in my flow?
• Why is it so difficult to really figure out what I want to throw my energy at now?
• Where should I spend my time?, and
• Where should I spend my energy?

With these questions, I was open to new options!

3:48 – Human Design

Human Design is a map that is meant to understand your genetic nature. The Human Design chart is also known as a body graph. It defines where energy flows within you and how you can harness that energy to the best of your ability.

At the most practical level, Human Design shows you where and how to access your body’s consciousness and decision-making tools to live as your truest self.

There are five expressions of Human Design:

• Manifestor
• Generator
• Manifesting Generator
• Projectors
• Reflector

9:52 – Enneagrams

The Enneagram of Personalities, or simply, the Enneagram, is a model of human psyche, which is principally understood and taught as a typology of nine interconnected personality types.

The Enneagram has been widely promoted in both business management and a spiritual context through seminars, conferences, books, magazines, and other formats.

With nine types, it is generally used as a typology to gain insights into workplace interpersonal dynamics by providing leadership styles and ways to interact with various types of people.

13:00 – Birth Charts

The third tool that helps to untap your career insights is the Birth Chart, which is a snapshot of the sky at the moment you were born. I find that it reveals a deeper dive into who you are, what drives you, where you work best, and where you can make your largest impact. This is a tool I’ve really been digging deeper into lately!

Questions the Birth Chart have answered for me:

• How do I express myself best?
• When do I feel most fulfilled?
• What is my role as a human?
• Where do I have more luck and abundance?
• What could be holding me back from sharing my gifts?
• Where do I have the gift of communication to share information, ideas, and experiences more fluidly?
• Where do I have to work hard? Where do gains only come through persistent and hard work within my limitations?
• Where in my chart does the money flow?
